About Us
The CAMP team works to meet the reproductive needs of people experiencing barriers to health, including people who are: newcomers, racialized, experiencing poverty, underhoused, using substances, and experiencing complex mental health needs. We provide care that meets people where they are, supports their autonomy and dignity, and is culturally appropriate. We apply the principles of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and anti-oppression in all we do. Everyone is welcome at CAMP!
Our team is made up of four midwives providing accessible pregnancy and reproductive care in the community.
We provide 24-hour on-call care for clients. The services we provide come at no cost to clients residing in Ontario.
What We Do
Our team offers visits for any needs related to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care up to 8 weeks after birth. Clients do not have to commit to regular visits with our team. Rather, we work with each client to determine the care they need. We can provide one visit or a series of visits.
Examples of our services:
- Pregnancy testing
- Prenatal and postpartum care
- STI screening
- Miscarriage care
- Assistance accessing pregnancy termination
- Pregnancy check-up, prenatal education
- Home baby checks for people without a local care provider
- Pap testing
- Sexual health counselling, accessing contraception, IUD insertion
- Postpartum home care for bleeding, mental health support, milk suppression
- Point of Care Ultrasound, training provided by Choice in Health Clinic in Toronto
We are also able to access interpreter services for visits if necessary.
