[GUELPH, ON, Sept 24, 2025] – Our region is increasing accessibility of crisis support for community members through HART Hub Guelph Wellington. Starting Monday, September 22, 2025, residents experiencing a crisis will have greater access to immediate support with the launch of expanded crisis stabilization beds in Guelph. This service is provided by Stonehenge Therapeutic Community and offers short-term, voluntary, non-medical residential beds to adults experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. The expanded service will double local capacity from four to eight beds, and increase hours of operation to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In addition to the expansion of crisis beds services, beginning September 15, 2025, Here 24/7 (CMHA)’s walk-in crisis services will now be co-located at the HART Hub Guelph Wellington at 176 Wyndham St. N.
These services are part of the HART HUB Guelph Wellington, a collaborative initiative designed to connect people in urgent need with the right support, when and where they need it. The services will provide a safe, supportive environment for people experiencing a crisis related to mental health and/or substance use disorder, while also connecting them to ongoing services and resources.
“Access to timely, compassionate crisis care can be life-changing,” said Kristin Kerr, CEO of Stonehenge Therapeutic Community, “By doubling capacity and offering round-the-clock service, we are taking a major step forward in supporting people in our community when they need it most.”
Staff are committed to working alongside clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring the right connections are made. Any information shared will be securely transferred to the appropriate providers to support continued care.
The addition of full time crisis beds and co-location of Here 24/7’s walk-in crisis response services reflect a strong community commitment to improving mental health and substance use supports, reducing strain on emergency departments, and helping people stabilize and recover in a caring, non-judgmental space.
