Parent Outreach Workers

About

Parent Outreach Workers provide one-on-one support to families who may be experiencing challenges at home. They work one-on-one with parents and caregivers who have children 0-18 years of age to provide early help and intervention and build relationships and trust with families. They also connect families to formal supports, to each other and to their community.

They are available to support families in specific neighbourhoods. They can help in many areas, including:

  • Health and wellness
  • Coping and stress management
  • Food access and parenting
  • Community resources and connections
  • Strategies to help improve family functioning
