Healthy Child ScreeningWe have joined together with other health care providers in Guelph to offer efficient, coordinated health care services at our health centre for children ages two to five who are clients of our health centre or who have been referred to us by a partner agency. Child care is provided for families attending the program. Our health care providers assess children in a variety of areas including: - learning (cognitive) development
- physical and emotional development
- nutrition
- eyesight
- speech and language
- dental health
- hearing
- immunization status
Our services include: - giving parents and children information about how to help prevent delays in growth and development
- identifying any physical, social, emotional and behavioral issues before children start attending school
- referring children who have learning or developmental issues to health care providers who can help them
- helping parents and children access health care services available in Guelph
Cultural interpretation services are available on request. Our screening programs take place six times a year.
