WE (Women Everywhere) Breastfeed

The WE (Women Everywhere) Breastfeed program offers new mothers support from volunteers with similar backgrounds who will encourage them through their first few months of breastfeeding.

Our volunteers include women who:

• have received accredited breastfeeding training
• have breastfed at least one child for six months or longer
• have experience as teen mothers
• can offer support in a variety of languages

Our volunteers provide friendly peer support by telephone or in person at convenient times arranged with each new mother.

WE Breastfeed volunteers can be requested through health care providers, lactation consultants, prenatal educators, midwives or public health nurses.
