History

The Indigenous Health and Wellness Program is a multifaceted community-driven program run through the Guelph Community Health Centre since April 2017. Born out of the recommendations from the 2015-2016 Aboriginal Health and Wellness Pilot Project of the Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre, the Indigenous Health and Wellness program is a LHIN funded,

The Indigenous Healing & Wellness Program which is hosted by the Guelph Community Health Centre is a community governed program designed to be responsive to the self-determined needs of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis community members of the Guelph-Wellington & Waterloo Regions.

The program is grounded in the holistic Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual (PMES) model of wellbeing and seeks to provide culturally safe access to health and wellness services.
