Staying active is one of the most important things we can do for our health. The Peer Leader Volunteers at the Guelph Community Health Centre offer programs to encourage clients and neighbourhoods to get active. Most of these programs are offered for free and most are available on a drop in basis.
Monday 6:15 – 7:15 pm at Brant Ave School, 64 Brant Ave.
A weekly drop-in. All ages and abilities welcome including children 12-16 years if accompanied by an adult. Free or pay what you can.
Tuesday 11:45 – 12:30 pm at Shelldale Centre 20 Shelldale Crescent. This program runs from September to June.
A drop-in program for those living in the Onward Willow community, those in the Teenage Parents and Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program and those who identify with Guelph CHC’s priority groups. Babies under 6 months are welcome in class. Please register for limited childcare spaces by the Friday before each class. Call 519-824-8498 to register for childcare. Yoga mats provided. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring water to drink.
Wednesday 9:30 – 10:30 am at Guelph CHC, 176 Wyndham Street. A drop-in program for adults – gentle moves. Everyone welcome. Free or pay what you can.
Wednesday 7:00 – 8:00 pm at Two Rivers Tytler School Gym 131 Ontario St. Please use Toronto St doors. Free or pay what you can.
Join friends and neighbours for a fun aerobic workout that combines dance and exercise. This free program runs in neighbourhoods around town.
Monday 7:00 – 8:00 pm at Sacred Heart School gym, 125 Huron Road, corner of Alice Street. Free or pay what you can.

Thursday 6:30 – 7:30 pm at 20 Shelldale Cres, Shelldale Centre Gym.
Saturday 10:00 – 11:00 am at 20 Shelldale Cres, Shelldale Centre Gym, $2 contribution is appreciated.
